  • Micromax unveiled its new flagship smartphones, the Canvas 6 and the Canvas 6 Pro. Interestingly Micromax has priced both the Canvas 6 and the Pro version at Rs. 13,999. The Micromax Canvas 6 borrows concepts from Xiaomi such as unibody metal design and fingerprint sensor. Its Pro variant is styled differently and is devoid of the fingerprint sensor. The Micromax Canvas 6 Pro is however equipped with better internals than the Canvas 6. Both the Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro sport a 5.5inch Full HD resolution IPS panel display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Underneath the hood, both the Micromax Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro feature the MediaTek Helio X10 chipset that houses a 2GHz true octa-core ARM Cortex-A57 processor and PowerVR Series 6 (Rogue) G6200 GPU. The only difference between the Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro innards is the presence of a 3GB RAM on the former and a 4GB RAM on the latter. The onboard storage on the Canvas 6 is at 32GB and the Canvas 6 Pro has an internal storage of 16GB. Both the smartphones have a microSD card slot that can be used to expand the storage to up to 32GB. When it comes to cameras both the Android Lollipop smartphones feature 13MP auto focus rear camera with LED flash and Largan 5P lens architecture. The front camera is a rather modest 5MP one with 4P lens architecture and 85 degree wide lens.

The Micromax Canvas 6 and the Canvas 6 Pro feature 4G LTE connectivity along with dual SIM support with hybrid slot. The Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro are powered by a 3000mAh battery that is claimed to provide talk time of 6 hours and standby time of 337 hours. Micromax loads in apps like Amazon, CM Suite, browsers, travel and games just to gobble up your internal memory. The Micromax Canvas 6 and the Canvas 6 Pro can be pre-booked on #-Link-Snipped-#.
