Weeks ahead of actual release, Microsoft Windows Phone 8's SDK (Software Development Kit) has been leaked. A Chinese website #-Link-Snipped-# reported this and published links to download the 1.35 GB preview version of the SDK and documents related to development options for Windows Phone 8. The PDFs for download include ones for Network Monitoring, Optimizing Windows Phone Applications for Efficient Battery Consumption, Simulation Dashboard and Windows Phone Apollo Release Notes among others. They speak about new camera capability and lens apps, real-time access to the phone's video stream and new effects and filters for camera apps. It is found in the documentation that Windows Phone 8 supports hot-swappable SD cards and Direct3D.

There is a lot left to explore and Windows Developers are excitedly scrambling to download the SDK. It is also being reported that if you have the right login details you can access the files from Microsoft’s own servers too.
