Windows Mango 7.5 Launched - Amazing Features Bundled

Windows Phone 7.5 "Mango" is finally here and devices are rolling out into the market. And yes it does have a few tricks up it is sleeve to grab some attention.

Now "Mango" is here which a large chunk of updates, when I mean large, I mean LARGE. More than 500 changes and updates to the Windows Phone system. That is one good reason Microsoft is now calling it Windows Phone 7.5 instead of Windows Phone 7.#-Link-Snipped-#

New features are pretty impressive and some of them are listed below.

[*]Messaging Threads: Jump between messaging platforms in a no time
[*]Group Contacts: groups of contacts filter incoming messages and serve as an easy exit for bulk messaging
[*]Local Scout: With Local Scout you will never be short of places to hang around, and a handy tool to find your way to the nearest petrol pump or eatery.
[*]Multitasking: "Mango" brings multitasking to Windows Phone 7
[*]Speech Recognition:  Everything. Simply everything can by done by speech commands from reading an incoming message aloud, to finding directions to the closest pizza shop.
[*]Visual Search: Much better than Google Goggles "Mango" can do neat things like scan Microsoft Tags and QR codes, automatically identify and find information on books, CDs, and DVDs, be it in any language.

I have listed above simply nothing, of the entire Microsoft makeover. Other significant changes are the launch of a Web Marketplace for apps, and added Wi-Fi tethering capabilities.

The ability to piggyback on the 3G (or 4G) wireless connection to get other devices online can come in handy on occasion.

Well if you have seen Windows 7 before and shrugged off in disappointment, it is time to give it another serious look. 7.5 has taken large strides away from 7, and has comfortably inched closer to Android and Apple. May be we may finally have some contenders emerging  from the Microsoft stable.
