Windows Live Messenger Supports XMPP and OAuth 2.0

Windows Live Messenger - that we no longer use has silently added XMPP and OAutho 2.0 support so that it can now connect with a larger number of messaging clients. Microsoft seems to be taking up steps to avoid the fate of ICQ; the Israeli messaging client which rose to popularity several years ago. Windows Live Messenger is still used by estimated 300 million users worldwide and continues to be one of the important player in the instant messaging market. It now looks like Microsoft's messenger and Google Talk will now be able to exchange messages.

Do we have anyone who uses MS Live Messenger? If yes, please update your messenger and tell us how do you like the new software. Better than before?
