Windows 8 Metro UI Testbed App - Experience Windows 8 On iPad!
One of the recently developed app for iPad offers a really interesting feature to experience the flavor of Windows 8 on the touch screen device. The app is developed by the developers at #-Link-Snipped-# and allows the iPad owners to drive Windows 8 beta on their iPad. Users can control the OS from the Windows 8 PC only. You can say this to be the only flaw in experiencing such a great thing. Even all types of gestures currently available on Windows 8 can also be tested on the iPad.

Setting up the experience is as easy as 1-2-3. First you need to install the Splashtop Streamer Client utility on the Windows 8 PC in order to synchronize data with the iPad. Then an installation of the Win8 Metro Testbed app on the iPad is obvious. Alike Team Viewer software, the client side Streamer software prompts you to input the security code that can be generated from the iPad software. Once the security code is validated, the Windows 8 remote session gets started on the iPad following a full-screen popup.
This little app offers onscreen hints about how to best use the app, but I think itâs better to experiment yourself. Some of the gestures that are currently supported include: swipe from left, pull down and pinch zoom. As of now details about connectivity has not been provided by the company but connection through Wi-Fi is confirmed. You can avail the app from the #-Link-Snipped-# for just $24.99 as introductory price.
