Windows 8 - A Player In The Sizzling Hot Tablet Market

Last Wednesday, Microsoft flanged the #-Link-Snipped-# of next version of Windows. That is a touch-friendly OS. It is considered to have taken up from touch-screen elements engrafted in Windows phone 7. For example, Windows phone’s live tiles interface is used by its start menu. The tiles can be customized by the user. The tiles can also be expanded to satiate the whole screen. This indeed creates a true tablet look. Hardware acceleration built into Explorer10, will assist Touch-enabled browsing, as cited by Microsoft.
#-Link-Snipped-# There is one tile titled “store”. Does it sound like an Apple-style app store for Windows 8 is here? Well, it does indicate so. In January the company said, according to reports, it would fundamentally branch the OS into 2 streams. One would be for desktops that run Intel & AMD x 86 chips & other would run on ARM's system-on-a-chip architecture for tablets.
Microsoft wishes to make Windows 8 an OS that’s equally settled comfortably on touch-screen tablets as it is on fully-powered desktops & laptops. A Windows8 based PC is supposed to be a new kind of device. It is a reimaging of Windows, from chip to the interface. When put up, Windows 8 will bolster traditional desktop apps, & HTML5 & JavaScript tablet apps that fill the entire screen.
According to #-Link-Snipped-#, Microsoft would launch Windows 8 at some time between the 2011 holiday shopping season and early 2012.
In an effort to compete well with rivals, Apple and Google, it's also possible that Microsoft could release the ARM-based version of Windows 8 for tablets before the desktop version. Irrespective of its launch, one thing is clear; Microsoft has sure made this with the intent to beat Apple’s iPad & Google Android-based devices.
