Will the Google Tablet be competitive?

Though there has been a lot of controversy regarding the Google News about creating a Tablet, Chromium projects website (who is behind building the Chrome and whose website is intended for developers interested in learning about and contributing to the open-source projects) has declared that Google Tablet is set to make its way. Chromium also stated that some of the possibilities which they might explore in the Tablet include:
[*]Keyboard interaction with the screen: anchored, split, and attached to focus. [*]Launchers as an overlay, providing touch or search as means to access web sites. [*]Contextual actions triggered via dwell. [*]Zooming UI for multiple tabs Tabs presented along the side of the screen. [*]Creating multiple browsers on screen using a launcher
According to Verizon Chief Exec Lowell McAdam, the carrier is working with Google on "a tablet computer. As we all know Google is battling with Apple, while Verizon is trying to clash with the AT & T, for their successful product iPad. For the Android-based Tablet to work, the company should ensure that the applications that are currently available in its Android Market will work with its tablet. Moreover, if Google Tablet offers 3G Technology and GPS Features and USB connectivity to devices like Printers (that are currently unavailable with iPad) it would provide them with a cutting edge against their rivals. In short, if Tablet is able to present a sophisticated device that could act as an efficient replacement to the notebooks, Google could create a lot of stir. What’s your take on this?
