Why Interviewing Indian Engineering Celebrities Tougher Than Others?
Of course this is not a debate topic as such, but a strange observation we've made over the past five years. Quite a few times, we've been asked why we feature very few Indian engineering celebrities in our Small Talk. Well, we are not at all biased. For us, engineering is beyond any boundaries, religion or nationality. The fact is that we find it VERY VERY difficult to interview Indian engineering celebrities.
It was 100 times easier for us to interview Apple Co-founder Steve Wozniak, Virgin Galactic Chief designer Burt Rutan, Gmail creator Paul Buchheit than even getting a response from the top Indian engineering celebrities. I'm not naming anyone for obvious reasons, but this is the fact.
On related lines: I've found that getting business done with Americans, Europeans and South East Asians is straightforward process than with Indian companies.
