Publishing novels is real hard be more and more specific. In solving the differential eqns there is both the complementary and particular solutions.
Complementary solution comes as a result of zero input to the system and only the output due to transferring function.
Particular response is unique That is the actual response of the system due to the excitation given to the system.
That is why to find complementary solution we equate the complementary eqn to ZERO.
