Why are so many scams being unearthed now?

Those who follow news channels will agree with me that the media, especially the Television seems to have taken the 'corruption & scam' as their top agenda item. One after the other, the scams and corruption related issues are coming out and media is playing a big role.

What could be the reason? Who's behind this change?

    in my view as politics playing major roles in people details and interests
    to rise their ratings channels also diverting their cams into scams
