Project Abstract / Summary : The project is all about design a sustainable Water supply Design for a city using Epanet Software & The design of sewerage system for a city.
The design of Sewerage system for Dhamani in Sangli District where our work is being sanctioned by Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran. The execution of the work will be started as soon. The project consist of collecting data surveying topographic data by using Total station. Then the data collected was inputed in Esurvey & Esection Software so to dratf the contour map for the area. Further Drainage lines were suggested, considering standards according to Water manuals slope of flow pipes were calculated & the design was prepared.
The design of Water supply includes designing flow in water supply pipes through water tank. The epanet software requires basic data like basic demand, Height of tank, Ground height, Length of pipes.
Why did you choose to work on this project topic : As it was the work to be actually executed, we found to work with Maharashtra Jeevan pradhikaran.
We found it interesting because we were desiging a system for a small town. We worked on field using Total station & we gathered actual data of the field. The design of water distribution or Sewerage system is very rare to found out except college personnel. The system we designed is actually economically designed and we have also reduced its cost ans designed it as per water manuals.
