Project Abstract / Summary : ABSTRACT

Wall painting is a repetitive, exhausting and hazardous process which makes it an ideal case for automation. There are different ways for painting such spray and brush painting. In this project we are going to design an autonomous as well as manually working wall painting robot which is consisting of an arm that scans the walls vertically and is fitted on a mobile robot base to give the lateral feed motion to cover the painting area

There are two sections, one is transmitter and other is receiver. To operate this 433 MHz frequency transmitter and receiver is used. With 150 RPM gear motor we control the forward and backward motion of the robot. Wireless receiver is placed on the robotic vehicle. A plastic box contains color which placed on the robotic vehicle. A water pump is use to spray pump .A screw mechanism is use to choose required height,by screw mechanism we move nozzle of color spray at upside and down side.

Robots are able to perform repetitive tasks more quickly, cheaply and accurately than humans. So, we have designed this robot for painting application. Because of this task becomes simpler and there is no possibility of any mistakes.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : Robotics, computer-controlled machine that is programmed to move, manipulates objects, and accomplishes work while interacting with its environment. Robots are able to perform repetitive tasks more quickly, cheaply, and accurately than humans. The term robot originates from the Czech word robot, meaning “compulsory labor.” The word robot has been used since to refer to a machine that performs work to assist people or work that humans find difficult or undesirable. So, we have designed this robot for painting application. Because of this, task becomes simpler and there is no possibility of any mistakes.
In this project we are going to design an autonomous as well as manually working wall painting robot which is consisting of an arm that scans the walls vertically and is fitted on a mobile robot base to give the lateral feed motion to cover the painting area.
