Volvo Drive-E engine roaring to debut in Frankfurt

Volvo is not making any noise in Frankfurt but Silently It has planned to introduce a all new 2.0 litre four cylinder engines which was dubbed as VOLVO-E by Volvo to be reveiled in Frankfurt.Volvo has also stated that this new engine will be installed in the forthcoming cars in 2015.
Drive-E (Volvo engine architecture ) consists of two 2-litre 4 cylinder architecture which employs a direct diesel and a direct injection petrol motor.This new Volvo engine will replace ford powertrains which will increase the economy of Volvo.Together the two engines will replace eight different engines architecture across 3 platforms.
ADVANTAGES:
· Improves the economy,
· Avoid usage of bigger engines ,
· Improves efficiency,
· Lighter construction and compact than 6 cylinder engine of same power output,
· Fuel economy better than 4 cylinder engine of same displacement.
Its diesel engine is the worlds first I-art technology which uses pressure sensors for every fuel injector producing a power output of 120bhp-320bhp and its petrol engine employs combination of a supercharger and turbocharger to avoid lag in boost producing a power of 140bhp-300bhp.
Do you think companies must more invest on introducing new technologies rather than introducing less polished,modified old cars?
