Voltitude Fold-Up Electric Cycle Would Let You Sweat Less
Recently Voltitude announced the arrival of a new species of cycle that would let you sweat less. Voltitude’s fold-up electric cycle is a complete package for the people who prefer cycling within the city limits rather than moving with the tension of parking the car. Once the cycle is folded, a toggle button on the handle bar lets the cycle walk along side you while you enter your house after a smooth run. You will feel as if your friend is accompanying you to the doors.

You will not have reach to the power supply frequently as after a single charge the battery lasts for about 4 hours. The 15.5 mph electric machine is ready for bulk production in July of this year and expected to cost somewhat around EUR4000 which can be ordered online. However the company has not been able to create any image in people’s mind as it is a new comer to the market. Created in July, Voltitude now constitutes of 3 engineers, a product designer, 1 business development person and the CEO, Eric Collombin. I am surprised to hear the company’s plan for bulk production with this number of company personnel.
The actual production of Voltitude fold-up electric cycles is scheduled to start in June with 50 units per week. The final specification and images of the new machine will be revealed once the production starts. Units are expected to hit the Switzerland market by September 2012.
