    Hello friends ,
    for quite a few days , i trying to know whether i can voice chat in linux ...
    i used pidgin but i supports only text chat..

    Then i tried with prism and gtalk...but the gtalk prism team said it is not compatible with linux systems ... so i am a bit worried ...

    if any one have a solution to this ..please make the information available...thank u ..............................

    Have you tried Skype? Skype, I guess, is still in Beta stage; but it should do the job.

    Also, if you are on uBuntu 10.04 (and am not sure whether it was there in earlier versions of uBuntu); there's a pre-installed chat application called Empathy - it supports both audio and video calls.
