Vizio All-In-One PCs & Laptops Lined-Up For CES 2012

The line-up consist of two All-in-one PCs- 24-inch and 27-inch and three notebooks - one 15.6-inch and two thin and lightweight versions-14-inch and 15.6-inch. The thin and lightweight version looks like ultrabooks, but the comapny haven’t used the term officially. Vizio shook the market earlier with cheaper HDTVs and they are expecting same to happen this time too. Vizio haven’t disclosed the exact price of the PCs yet, but it is expected that the products will cost quite less than other manufacturers. In an interview with Bloomberg Matt McRae, Chief Technology Officer at Vizio, said that the product will be sold at “a price that just doesn’t seem possible”. It is worth noticing that Vizio also sells a 8-inch tablet for $250 to $350, which is quite cheaper than Apple iPad which costs around $500.
Reportedly Vizio has signed up a contract with Taiwanese manufacturer Foxcon Technology Group and AmTRAN Technology for cheaper screens. The new products will be unveiled at CES 2012 and are expected to ship in June.
