The new Vivo Y75 which was announced today in China and it ticks all the boxes Vivo smartphones are known for. The Vivo Y75 has ridiculously high resolution cameras, adheres to the current bezel-less trend and lacklustre hardware for a smartphone that is expected to retail for over Rs. 15000. The Vivo Y75 starts of its spec sheet with a 5.7inch HD+ (1440 x 720) 18:9 aspect ratio FullView display which is encased in 2.5D curved glass. You get more screen area due to the new 18:9 aspect ratio and as more and more apps update themselves to suit this new display you are getting to get more use out of them.

Before we discuss the internals, we need to address the USP of the Vivo Y75 which is its cameras. You get a 13MP f/2.2 aperture camera on the rear with LED flash. On the front you get an even higher resolution 16MP camera with a soft LED flash and f/2.0 aperture. The front camera will also be used in the FaceWake feature which lets you unlock your smartphone with a glance. Underneath the hood we have a MediaTek Helio P23 which was found in the Oppo F5 and Oppo F5 Youth smartphones which were launched earlier this year. As you might know this chipset (MT6763T) houses 2.5GHZ octa-core ARM Cortex A53 CPU and ARM Mali G71 MP2 GPU. Vivo has added 4GB of RAM to the chipset to run Funtouch OS 3.2 which is the company’s take on Android 7.1 (Nougat).

Underneath the rear camera you can find the fingerprint sensor which can be used to secure apps and unlock the phone. When it comes to its SIM arrangement it has a dedicated dual nano SIM slots and a dedicated microSD card slot for memory expansion. The Vivo Y75 is powered by a 3000mAh that can give the smartphone up to 6 hours of screen time on average use. The Vivo Y75 is currently available in China in Black, Gold and Rose Gold colour variants. The Vivo Y75 is being sold for 1598 Yuan which comes to around Rs. 15,510. We can expect the Vivo Y75 to arrive in India by next month.
