ViewSonic Launches ViewPad 10e

ViewSonic has launched its new inexpensively tablet ViewPad 10e. The table features a 9.7-inch screen, single core 1Ghz Cortex A8 processor supported by 512Mb of DDR3. The resolution of 1024×768 matches that of the TouchPad and iPad 2.Rather than using the tablet-specific Android HoneyComb, it used Android Gingerbread. The most striking feature of this tablet is the thickness, mere 9.1mm.

It has an internal memory of 4GB and using a microSD card slot you can utilize an additional 32GB. The tablet weighs in at 620 grams. It also features a 1.3MP front-facing camera. The ViewPad 10e has loads of connections, including microUSB (for data transfer and power), mini HDMI for up to 720p output of video to your HDTV and last but not the least, it has Bluetooth 3.0.  as well.

ViewPad 10e uses ViewScene 3D, which is one of the most unique looking approaches to Android. The ViewScene 3D interface includes customizable panels and widgets and access to an online marketplace.

The smart ViewScene 3D interface gives you an incredible UI experience with just a few finger touches. Breaking the 5 panel limit available in Android, you can choose between as many as 16 panels provided in ViewScene 3D. You can also arrange, rename, add or delete your panels easily. ViewScene 3D takes the ViewPad 10e to the next level.  Amazon Kindle is also pre-installed with access to 700k-plus books, magazines and papers.

Pricing will be announced in early November, when the tablet officially launches. Current availability is limited to the UK. Hopefully, we shall see the ViewPad 10e in U.S. and other countries soon.
