  • Videocon Mobile Phones has come up with a new 3G-calling tablet called Videocon VT85C. Launched in India at a price of Rs. 8,999, the tablet features a lot of basic features anf the company aims to capture the Indian electronics market by offering the best of technology at the most affordable of pricing. The Videocan VT85C tablet features a 7-inch display with 1024x600 pixels resolution and comes powered by a dual-core Cortex A9 processor. Running on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) out-of-the-box, the VT85C tablet features a 3000 mAh battery that offers good talktime. The tablet also features GSM SIM card facility and thus offers voice and video calling. The Videocon VT85C is an upgrade to the Videocon VT75C tablet launched earlier by the company.

    On the storage front, the VT85C tablet has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 4GB built-in storage of which 1.3GB is user available and the storage can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card. The tablet sports a 5 megapixel rear camera and a VGA video-calling front camera.

    The VT85C tablet comes preloaded with apps for accesing Facebook, Opera Mini browser, VStore for browsing and downloading apps along with Hungama for music among others. “With the tablet market in the country expanding every passing day, we seek to become a strategic player in the mix of things who offers the best of technology at the most affordable of pricings to the consumer. With the VT85C we are entering an important segmentation of the market wherein with our value-oriented tablet we will compete aggressively against the bigger players”, Mr. Zamir added.

    The Videocon VT85C tablet has an official price in India tag of Rs. 8,999 and will be soon available across stores in India.
