VIA's Android Powered PC At Just $49 Ships In July 2012

The PC market is definitely hot with its two leaders, Windows and Mac OS coming up with their latest operating systems. But VIA has announced the launch of their Android powered PC (APC) for just $49. It is definitely a competitor to the #-Link-Snipped-#. The APC will be powered by Android 2.3 and housing a 800MHz processor from VIA.

With 512MB of DDR3 RAM and a 2GB of internal flash memory, the small PC consists of a 2D/3D graphics chip which supports video resolution of 720p via HDMI or VGA port on board. The APC is of Neo-ITX form factor capable of being mounted on any Mini-ATX or Micro-ATX cabinets. The small PC consumes just 4 watts while on idle mode and peaks at 13.5 watts. Some other connectivity options include four USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port, Audio and Microphone port along with a microSD card slot.

The APC will be up for pre-order soon and will be shipping in early July 2012.
