I dont know whether this is right place to post ... but um anyways..
A thought of external gfx card just a moment ago spawned in my brain.
How about integrating a portable gfx card which runs with usb power supply?
I know power transfer is extremely less in usb compared to power truly consumed by gfx cards.
My quest to extend the capability of usb starts here .... so any CEans out here know the mos def capacity of power in usb3.0 ?
If we can tether phones to use it for wireless connection ... then is there any way possible to do samething with gfx cards.
I know the concept is too different apart from that tethering is transmission of data while linking gfx card wirelessly is total different shit as running of gfx card is hardware based.

Pardon me if i fail to make you understand any concept ... I took out my cell and started spazing the thoughts that entered my cranium.

Feedbacks and criticsms are most welcome.

I guess it will currently works like Ready Boost Pen drive which is just illusion.
DDR3 RAM with 1333 Mhz es can transfer data at 10GB/s and I think graphics cards needs similar or more speed than this.

Usb is very slow as comapred to the datatransfer speed that is required. Besides as you addressed already the power supply gonna be a problem.

But the major problem still is the speed which the usb protocol cannot fulfill.

Apologies for diverting from the topic - but do we have a possibility of using thunderbolt port for the graphics card? Thunderbolt is quite faster than USB and has been adopted by Apple. Not sure about the other hardware manufacturers; but I do think there's an opportunity there. This - only if the data transfer rates is a critical problem.
