Ultra-D Technology Display At CES 2012; 3D TV With No Glasses

More news from CES 2012, Stream TV Networks, Inc is doing its bit by launching autostereoscopic 3D television. The autostereoscopic 3D imagery allows viewing of 3D content without the need of any adaptive glasses. This concept developed by the Stream TV Networks is trademarked as 'Ultra-D' technology, a first for 3D television. Nobody knows how, but  Ultra-D  technology is capable of converting 2D content into 3D autostereoscopic, as well as making 3D stereoscopic content watchable in 3D without glasses.

The purpose of introducing Ultra-D is to provide a much needed push to the 3D television marketing. It's been a while since 3D TVs have released, yet the market has not seen any commendable growth. The major reason behind this was reported to be the need for 3D glasses, which seemed as an uncomfortable addition to the television watching experience. Plus, the fact that 3D glasses come expensive, was not helping the case at all. Now, Ultra-D technology has worked a way around the issue by offering unlimited, real time conversion of 2D to 3D, almost compatible with all formats such as DVD, PC gaming, Blu-ray, cable and more. The company adds that products for converter boxes, tablets, laptops, gaming devices, mobile phones and digital picture frames will be available as well.

Stream TV’s CEO Mathu Rajan views this accomplishment as a milestone and believes Ultra-D will create a significant shift in the way people view media.  More will be unveiled at the CES event. The Ultra-D product launch is scheduled to happen on January 9 at CES 2012.
