TVS In Talks With BMW To Develop Top-Line Motorcycles!

It's been eleven years since TVS got its divorce from Japanese Suzuki Motor Corporation, and the Chennai based company is now looking forward to a new relationship with German auto-maker BMW's motorcycle section, BMW Motorrad. TVS Chairman Mr Venu Srinivasan has nodded positive regarding these ongoing developments. Apart from the fact that it'll be a technical contract, he refused to divulge any more details.

In this TVS-BMW partnership, TVS can make good use of BMW’s skillfulness in order to expand its premium bike range, where it presently features the Apache (160cc, 180cc). As for BMW, it will be getting a strong local associate, with whom it can expand its base rapidly and cut down the production costs. Presently, TVS has no bike above the 180cc range, nor does it have the technology to produce the same. And BMW has to quicken up things because potential competitors Harley Davidson and Triumph have already entered the Indian market.
