Trojan Found By AVAST Virus Lab In Gaming Sites That Look Cute
AVAST Virus Lab working engineers have found out more than 60 harmful websites that contain game or arcade in their URL address. One of such sites is called "cutearcade.com" that has a collection of games for dressing up or coloring. Users visiting this site and running Avast Antivirus reported more than 12,600 times about their PCs getting affected. The trojan redirected users to linuxstabs.com, a known malware distribution point.

Then there is one website called "HiddenNinjaGames.com" popular for its flash games, which sends people landing and clicking on their site to "astrofiber.co.be." Since these sites are accessed mostly by children and people new to the world of internet, their PCs become highly susceptible to attacks, without them knowing. They feel they are just moving between web pages. Following is a list of harmful websites unveiled in a #-Link-Snipped-# by Avast -

The biggest problem is due to masquerading. The site looks friendly, simple and legitimate and you get trapped in the filthy malware. Even before you spot something fishy, your PC is infected due to javascript infections, redirectors and the unwanted programs get installed. All that we can do is install good anti-virus programs or virtualization features like sandboxing and last but not the least have a parental control over what your children are accessing.
