Another case of 'old wine in new bottles' ! This is basically just a jazzed-up version of the Etios Liva (which is not selling) and this version will also be unlikely to make any significant contribution, as it is not offering anything different from the standard hatch.

To be called a 'Crossover', it should at least have some serious off-roading modifications - even the ground clearance has not been increased !

I find it very attractive with good safety features and better specs. I bet it has a look to compete ford ecosport and Toyota has a good reputation . Do you agree ?

Looks way better than Ford Ecosport! 👍👍
Give it a little more 4x4 traits with ground clearance and we could match it with Renault Duster.

    Spoiler: Aside to Toyota

P.S. Reminds me of Toyota Rav4

I think we will need some more official photographs to compare this beast with Ford Ecosport and Renault Duster. An image comparison would be great.

Cost of Etios Cross is lesser than Duster and EcoSport, but it may not give the pleasure of driving a SUV. Duster still rules this segment of low budget SUV's. Just have a look at the major engine comparison.

    Engine Description
    1.4-liter 67.06bhp 8V D-4D Engine -- Etios Cross
    1.5-liter 108.5bhp 16V K9K Diesel Engine -- Duster
    1.5-liter 89.75bhp 16V TDCi Diesel Engine -- EcoSport

    Engine Displacement(cc)
    1364 -- Etios Cross
    1461 -- Duster
    1498 -- EcoSport

    Maximum Power
    67.06bhp@3800rpm -- Etios Cross
    108.5bhp@3900rpm -- Duster
    89.75bhp@3750rpm -- EcoSport

A Rugged SUV Looks with a sedan mileage will call it a best deal in the 5 Seater SUV Segment.
Company has worked on most of its Features which are an added advantage.
Seems Toyota is working more on its Etios Brand (From offering a sedan, then a hatch and now cross over) .

Further it is globally renowned for its QDR (Quality,Durability & Reliability)Standards.

Company said that the car is already very poplar in Brazil Where it was first launched. Will also be exported from India.

    Tough to decide between Duster/Ecosport/EtiosCrossover.

More & more company are moving into the B segments because the customers (mostly youth) are more interested to own a SUV against a Sedan /Hatchback these days.
