Toyota & BMW To Work Together For Sustainable Future Technologies
Two of the biggest automobile companies in the world, Toyota and BMW are going to come together for some ground-breaking work. These auto-giants are collaborating to work on four different things - a fuel cell system, a future sports vehicle's architecture and components development, a powertrain electrification and some lightweight technologies. It is great to see the companies working with each other on such green-tech projects. Akio Toyoda, President of Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and Norbert Reithofer, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG met for signing a deal about this at BMW Group headquarters in Munich yesterday.

The collaboration of these companies only makes sense because we have seen in the past that Toyota is good at eco-friendly hybrids and fuel cells, while we all love BMW's sports cars. Previously, BMW Group and Toyota Motor Europe have dealt with each other on a contract that says BMW will supply highly-efficient 1.6 litre and 2.0 litre diesel engines to Toyota Motor Europe, starting in 2014. An electric sports vehicle as a product of this merger will be something to look forward to. What do our readers think?
