Tips on forming a techno club

Hey guys we’ve just planned to start a civil techno club in our college. So I’ve jotted some activities we could do in it… the few points we decided are:

1. Plan industrial visits.
2. Hold seminars and invite leaders from the field to provide lectures.
3. Hold periodical competitions.
4. Take up project works.( this we are planning so that the finished projects could be displayed when we hold tech fests)
5. Discussions on students’ in-plant training.(some of us are going for summer training this year so we could discuss the stuff we learnt with the help of photos and videos)
6. Meet with alumni.(we are in touch with some of our alumni.so we can try to invite them to share their practical experiences with us)

So these are the points we have decided. What I’m asking you guys is are there any other things we could plan. Or is any thing I’ve discussed far from possible. We’ve never had this kind of stuff in our previous two years….. so guys help me out. Please tell me your suggestions.
