Those magnificent, Crazy, Almost non-Flying Machines!
Aeronautics has inspired some really crazy designs. Necessarily so since we were never really designed to fly. Many of the machines would never have left the ground even if built. They remained pipe dreams.
However, some of the really crazy designs did work. The contraptions did fly, after a fashion.

durga ch"De Lackner HZ-1 Aerocycle flying" is that even real :??? one doubts how a soldier can maintian his balance at such high altitudes? oh! at what height it might fly??
