A developer-designer duo - Kaiwei Tang and Joe Hollier came together as a part of Google's inaugural 30 Weeks incubator program to build a revolutionary new device called the 'Light Phone'. True to its name, this phone takes the smart away from smartphone and brings to you a minimal device that does what it is supposed to do - make & take calls. The media is already abuzz with the news of how the generation today needs a digital detox and how disconnected we all have become thanks to the smartphone frenzy. The uniquely designed Light Phone is designed in the size of a credit card in such a way that one can use it as little as possible. Sounds weird? Well, wait till you take tour of the features of the all new Light Phone.
Featuring a 20 day battery life, the Light Phone is a 4 mm thick device that weighs close to nothing. It can be used for calling, tell you the current time and set up to 10 speed dial contacts. There are no notifications and absolutely no apps. In a bright white body, the phone has been made so compact that it fits inside your back pocket or even your wallet.
