  • Tata Kite - Tata's Answer To Maruti Celerio To Debut In 2015

    The marketers at Tata surely aren't happy at the success of Maruti Celerio; which is selling like a hot cake in Indian auto-markets. As an answer, Tata has planned a new small car - called "Tata Kite" to rival Celerio and according to the Economic Times, it is scheduled to debut in 2015. We learn that Tata Motors' Sanand Plant will manufacture the the Tata Kite Cars. Detailed technical specifications and features aren't available as of now, but we promise to keep you posted on all the developments on Tata Kite.

    Note that Tata Nano, which is supposed to be 'the car' for the budget-cautious Indian middle class, failed to capture the desired market share in the compact car segment. Tata would put the Kit between the Nano and the Indica, yet another popular compact car from Tata.

    It's expected that Tata will announce Bolt, a B+ class hatchback in this year. The Bolt is built on the same platform as Tata Vista with several aspects redesigned. It'd also be interesting to see what price tag will Tata attach to the new Kite. Stay tuned for updates!

    Yes We haven't seen a good competitor for celerio .

    Tata Kite would be too late to make a good impact- my verdict.

    Tata haven't answered previous Maruti Swift with good competitor in past.

    I agree, By the time Tata Kite will hit market, Maruti Celerio will already be a household car when it comes to Auto gear (low budget hatchback) car.

    Tata needs to come-up with something new with Kite, that can give competition to Celerio.

    We certainly cannot predict Indian market. Even though it seems quite tough to beat MSC, but any new modification in looks may drive crazy the modern Indian youth, and thats all what TATA need.
