Take A Stroll At The Grand Canyon Through Google Street View
Google Maps has been going through a lot of changes recently. Due to the many embarrassing fails in locations by Apple Maps, Google Maps got an advantage. Already having covered snow-covered mountains, the Amazon rainforest and underwater coral reefs, Google has now covered yet another majestic location, the Grand Canyon.

Google's own backpack mounted camera system, Trekker, fitted to a team of five people along with ten Google engineers, gathered images of the location on foot in a period of three days. The Trekker captures full 360-degree panoramic shots of the scenery around the one wearing the camera, and it uses 15 cameras which are connected to an Android device. The team covered a distance of 121km in and around the Grand Canyon National Park and took a staggering 9,500 panoramas.
You can now take a tour of the Grand Canyon right from your computer in Street View. Google has already started plans of covering other locations which are accessible on foot in the future.
