Users spend most of their time on the keyboard in their mobile phones which has made many companies come up with custom keyboards on Android for a better experience. Swiftkey recently updated their keyboard software to Swiftkey 4, which now includes the swipe gestures, similar to another keyboard software maker, Swype.

Swiftkey had already been testing with the swipe gestures, releasing Swiftkey Flow in Beta last year. Coming to the features included in the new update, Swiftkey Flow brings in predictions and autocorrect with gesture typing. Flow Through Space enables users to type in entire sentences without lifting their fingers for adding spaces. Now, the new version supports about 60 languages which also have predictions and autocorrect. Corrections can be done easily now where you tap on the word and the cursor is sent to the end of the word, giving you two alternatives. Finally, Swiftkey adapts to how the users type, with two fingers or one.

Swiftkey incorporated Flow in their latest SDK, and it has been licensed to a few OEMs, where not all of them are Android. Its SDK supports Android, C++, iOS, JVM (Java, Scala), Linux, Mac OS X, .Net (C#, VB), QNX, WebOS, Windows. Swiftkey 4 would be a free update for existing users and cost new users $1.99.
