Suzuki Motorcycles is gearing up for the unveiling of its new flagship motorcycle in the 150cc segment as reports arrive of the launch event for Suzuki Gixxer SF bike, the fully faired variant of the base Suzuki Gixxer model. Basking in the glory of the Suzuki Gixxer, the company is now ready to launch the Gixxer SF model to capture the upper end of the 150cc premium commuter segment. Let's take a look at the handful of details about the Gixxer SF specifications that are out so far.
The engine is said to be retained and therefore, we will have the Suzuki Gixxer SF powered by a 155cc air-cooled 14.8PS engine that produces 14.8 PS at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm and there are talks of getting a higher top speed. Equipped with SEP, the sporty version of the Gixxer is expected to be as frugal as its street-fighter counterpart. As for the looks, from the telescopic front forks, the tank, the exhaust, the wheels, the seat and the monoshock at the rear look the same. As we wait for the grand launch next week, it is only fair to look at the bike's competition. The top competitors are inarguably going to be the Bajaj Pulsar and Yamaha Fazer and the war is going to be one to watch. Among other reports, it is also being said that the Suzuki Gixxer SF will be made available in 5 color options - Blue, White, Red, Black and Grey.
