Project Abstract / Summary :
ABSTRACT

“SUPER RUNNER BICYCLE”

The objective of this project is to use our knowledge acquired in Mechanical Engineering by preparing Chainless bicycle by using Gear Tooth -Tooth mechanism. The purpose of using this mechanism is to generate more power when comparing with a normal chain bicycle. In this project the pedalling model of the “SUPER RUNNER BICYCLE” will be like a breaking system of a four wheeler it means pedal will not be in rotation motion it will be just like a pressing type moment.

The entire design will be done in “CATIA” (Computer Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application) software because CATIA offers a solution to shape design, styling, surfacing workflow and visualization to create, modify, and validate complex innovative shape and also the motion of the pedal is to observed before fabricating.

The analysis is to be done after the entire designing of SRB (Super Runner Bicycle) is done in CATIA software then the analysis is to be done by using a software name called “ANSYS” It is the structural software tools automatically detect and perform setup for contacts or joints between parts of an assembly so it is easy to detect where stress are developed. By using this software it is easy to rectify the damages, stress and strain while riding a SRB.

After the entire analysis and designing of the SRB, the gear teeth have to be manufactured. After the manufacturing of the gear teeth the fabrication work will be started. Further details will been given in project book in detail about the study of Gear teeth mechanism and fabrication of the “SUPER RUNNER BICYCEL”

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : Its a simple modal is pressing type pedal without any chain .
