Stuff ISRO Should Be Doing Than Finding Water On Mars
So ISRO's been successful in putting a satellite around Mars with an aim to study the Red Planet. Though I think it's an incredible achievement; I haven't got the answer to 'Why'; that is, I don't get 'why' are they doing all of it. Maybe just to make a point that India has the technology to put machines to revolve around distant planets and get information about the planet.
I'd have been happier if ISRO focused their attention on, IMHO, more important things that can help Indians.
- Surveillance satellites. I know we do have already; but you can always have the next version that finds out whether the enemy is active. Keep improving.
- Develop better communication technologies and satellites.
- Develop new technologies for high speed internet, free of cost to all Indians - that'd be killer!
- Monitor India's environment, more accurately track tsunamis, track air pollution
- Develop technology to aid in rescue missions
- Develop cheaper technologies to enable space tourism 😀 - KILLER!
But, am I the only one who's thinking that way?
