    why steering mechanism is not employed in tracked vehicles and bulldozers?

    you don't need steering wheels to control bulldozers.

    bulldozers fall under the category of machines called "earth movers", and they are not designed to be used as passenger automobiles.

    unlike automobiles bulldozers can move in a very small expanse of land, and its arms and buckets, which are powered by hydraulic actuators are controlled by DCVs .

    ya zaveri is right. earth movers are controlled by hydraulics. for automobile they say it as propelling while for earth moving as you say bull-dozers they say it as "tramming"
