South Korean All Set To Launch Homemade Satellite In Orbit
South Korean artist Song Ho-jun has invested years in developing his very own DIY sputnik, a homemade satellite devised using electronic parts. It could as well be the first satellite that has been entirely built by a single person. The launch shall most probably take place in the later part of the year. Song's internship at a satellite company gave him an idea which he materialized as "Open Satellite Initiative", with experts giving out all the required information he needed with the launch. At the same time, he even had a small electronic business running and had enough support from his parents.

The final product has a tiny box (10cm x 10 cm x 10cm) weighing about 1 kilogram, which will transmit back information regarding the satellite's functioning, and also the temperature and battery status. Communication shall happen both ways, and the satellite will transmit messages through Morse code as soon as it gets into the orbit. The satellite's launch is to happen from Kazakhstan this December.
