Sony’s Deuce-Ace: The New Internet TV Box, Projector And Blu-Ray Player

Sony showcased three brand new products at the IFA 2011 in Berlin, Germany, which is held from September 2 to 7 of this same month. These products include the SMP-N200 Network Media Player, the VPL-VW95ES home projector and the BDP-S185 Blu-ray Disc Player.

The Stream Player SMP-N200 Network Media Player will allow users to stream movies and music both in HD and 3D. It will also let the users to play content from other devices as it comes with built-in Wi-Fi or USB. It is also Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) certified for wireless video, audio and photo streaming. Hence this device is highly compatible with other DLNA certified products. Finally, this device is capable of turning any TV into an internet TV which was so cool.

The home projector VPL-VW95ES is an heir to the VPL-VW90ES, which is Sony’s first 3D home projector for cinema. This new home projector was designed according to Sony’s new dynamic lamp control technology which supports rendering of 3D. The advancements in this product includes contrast enhancer along with motion blur and judder reductant technology (Motion flow technology). The VPL-VW95ES is going to be released from a division of Sony Europe and thus the release of this product in India is not mentioned in IFA 2011.

The new Blu-ray Disc Player BDP-S185 will let the users enjoy full HD Blu-ray Disc playback.  Also, this Blu-ray disc player comes with Sony’s new Precision Cinema HD Upscale technology. Showcased in two flavours of one in silver and another in black, the Blu-Ray Player comes with one USB input and a HDMI output for 1080p picture. This BDP-S185 has simple and fast navigation through XrossMediaBar along with naturalistic smooth picture.

The precise date of availability of these products and the absolute price tags will vary according to countries and they will be announced later.
