SONY New PlayStation 3 (PS3) - What's New? [Updated: Full Specs]

Sony's just announced a new PS3, a redesigned version of the current generation of the gaming console. Of course it's definitely not the PS4 all of us have been waiting for, but this launch is making us skeptical about the possible launch date of Playstation 4. This isn't the first time Sony has launched a new PS3, earlier the company launched a slimmer version of the console, followed by gaming console with different HDD capacities. We had #-Link-Snipped-# you about Sony's plans of unveiling a new PS3. The model number was 4000, which was basically a trimmed down version of the system.



 

Update: As we hear it from <a href="https://www.theverge.com/gaming/2012/9/19/3355798/sony-announces-new-playstation-3-console" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Sony debuts redesigned slim PlayStation 3 console, coming as bundle September 25th - The Verge</a>, the New PlayStation 3 comes in two colours viz. Charcoal Black and Classic White. The models will be available in two HDD capacities: 250GB and 500GB. In the North America, the new model will arrive on September 25 and cost $269 (250 GB). The 500 GB version is priced at $299; however it will arrive on 30th of the next month. The Japanese gamers will get the 250GB console for 24,900 Yen and the 500GB for 29,800 Yen, both available October 4th.

It looks like Sony's not included anything worth noticing in the new console. Sony's CEO says that the new model is 50% smaller than the original PS3 and about 25% smaller than the PS3 Slim. We're following the story and tell you more as we hear it.
