Smartron Launches World's First IoT Ready Smartphone In India Priced At Rs. 22,999

Smartron, an Indian company made a bold move today, by launching world’s first IoT enabled smartphone with unmatchable specs at a price of INR 22,999. The company has named the phone ‘t.phone’ and launched it today in the market in the presence of company’s stake holder and also the brand ambassador, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. The phone has high ultra-thin form factor (158.2 x 78.2 x 6.98 mm) and is lightest of its category weighing just 149 gm! It has dual tone colour scheme and it really stands out from every other phone of its category. It is equipped with 5.5 inch SUPER AMOLED display, which provides glare free experience during indoor and outdoor usage.

It has 13MP dual flash camera with 6 lens-element that provides zero distortion and shutter lag. It has a superfine 4MP front camera which is best for taking selfie’s and low light images.​

The device features 4-mic noise cancellation array which provides better call experience to its user. Not only that, but it has used technologies like DTS premium sound and DTS PlayFI to enhance the quality of its speakers too. The phone supports Type C USB charger and has 3000mAh high density Lithium-polymer ion battery and comes in 4 spectacular color variants.

While gazing on its hardware, the features stand out even more lucrative as it has lightning fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 8994 v2.1 chipset backed by 4GB LPDDR4. The 2 GHz Octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU provides hassle free gaming and multitasking experiences.

Sensors like Hall Sensors, ST sensor, Digital Compass are highly unavailable in cases of other smartphones that are offered in 20k range but are present in this device. It is VOLTE ready and supports other standard connectivity feature like Bluetooth, dual band WiFi found in recently launched smartphones.

The most important feature that makes it the world’s first IoT device is that it features TRON-X. Under this, it has been enabled with ‘t-cloud’, ‘t-care’ and ‘t-store’ feature. ‘t-cloud’ allows the device to have unlimited cloud storage for data backup across any Smartron device. ‘t-care’ -to get service and support anytime, anywhere from the manufacturer’s community to enjoy uninterrupted experiences and ‘ t-store’- to buy personalised devices and related products.
