Smart Energy Metering & Fault Detection
Project Abstract / Summary : the best way of utilizing the electrical energy by simply recharging our energy meters and getting the units according to recharge scheme. We are working on this project in VHDL programming and it includes Electrical, Electronics & Communication engineering.
We have used RF transmission and and CPLD board which will be programmed using VHDL programming.
Fault detection is another aspect of this project that also uses RF transmission on logical level that will inform service providers about the situation of fault.
Why did you choose to work on this project topic : because it involves electrical , electronics and communication engineering.... And VHDL Programming is quiet simple and efficient than Matlab or C prog. Also CPLD chips are more versatile and felexible than Microcontrollers.
