Project Abstract / Summary : Smart Effective and Economical Power Saver
The increasing population has lead to the conservative use of power . At present, there is an imbalance in electricity production and consumption, it is important to overcome the demand crisis and lead a smart life with effective use of power. Besides all energy generation techniques it is important to conserve and make the best use of power. This project maily focuses on conserving power at residential area where a co-operative conservative response is lagging and there is also a bridge between the consumers and the providers. To provide transparent energy distribution and to bring co-operative conservation among the domestic users Smart Effective and Economical Power Saver can be implemented. Domestic users are not much aware abiut their daily usage and wastage units. Power wastage is mainly prevalent in peak hours where in those hours due to the fast moving life style leads to the use of many appliances simultaneously and the controlling of those appliances becomes unfulfilled. Users fail to control appliances through switches . So we can overcome this problem by introducing a load limit fixation which is made active only at peak hours . Load limit fixation is done so that high power consuming appliances cannot be used simultaneously. In addition to this idea, consumers are also notified while crossing the tariff plans . Existing Energy meters used in residential areas do not have any conservative plans and user favouring techniques. This Smart Energy Power Saver is facilitated with all those which is a slight extension done with the existing meters resulting in large conservation.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : This project will surely help the domestic users to overcome the hourly shut down in Tamil Nadu. This project mainly aims at reducing the demand and favouring conservation . It also favours us by notifying while we cross the domestic tariff limits fixed by the government.Basic wants of the society should be offered without any demand and there must be a consistent conservation.

Project Highlights : This contest provides great opportunities to the upcoming engineers and it becomes a pathway for the future engineers to expose their ideas and creativity and contribuite technologically to the society.
