Smart Driver e-Monitoring and Alert System

Project Abstract / Summary : IDEA OUTLOOK

The main factors that influenced the development of my 'Smart Driver e-Monitoring and Alert System ' are the supervision and observation of drivers with drowsy condition. Drowsy driving is a major problem in transportation. Drowsiness is becoming a severe issue in case of traffic accident. This usually happens when a driver has not slept enough, but it can also happen due to untreated sleep disorders, medications, drinking alcohol, or shift work. In this monitoring system we can Prevent mishaps due to drowsy driving and enhancing driver efficiency using their driving data.So, in our project we are analyzing the mental activities of brain using Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals based on Brain- Computer Interface (BCI) technology and analyse the driving pattern by using appropriate sensors to monitor car’s Steering pattern and speed.

PRAGMATIC SOLUTION

In this project we uses a brain wave sensor which can collect EEG based brain signals of different frequency and amplitude of all the cab drivers. The brain signals from the brain wave sensor will be monitored continuously checks whether he is in drowsy state or not.The driving analysis Sensors(Rotary Angle Sensor, 3-Axis Digital Accelerometer) which will be incorporated in the cab to monitor the driving pattern.

The sensors data will be streaming into the cloud. The auto company will monitor all the cab drivers scenario through the cloud data. Company will organize a set of respond operations based on the obtained Driving Pattern(attention level,steering control,accelerometer etc.). In case of any danger occurs in any cab, control system will first vibrate the specific cab’s driver seat, and then it starts to Alarm and finally the car will be getting Stopped.Driving skills of a person can be reported to facilitate a trusted mass transit system with relevance to school and college transportation, metropolitan and smart city bus network, cabs, etc.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : The reason for choosing this topic is mainly because of the accident which is occuring on the road due to drowsy condition or drunk and drive. In order to reduce such problems caused for the people.I have made it to reduce such erors

Project Highlights : This project is under the area"Smart Transport safety system"which has been used to reduce the accidents by monitor the drowsy level of the driver.Driving pattern can also be analysed from the sensors in the car.
