    Harmonics onset when the load line has a dynamic nature as in semi conductors But in a rotor mostly made of Cu the phase shift induced is fairly low this prevents the generation of harmonics in the rotor of the motor

    ya..bt...squirrel cage rotor has harmonics induced due to slotting..bt slip ring rotor doesn't
