The new Skype For Android app allows you to dial and receive one-to-one to other Skype users on different supported platforms like iPhone, Mac, Windows, Android phones and even TVs. You can also make cheap calls to landline or mobile phone numbers all over the world. You will have to buy the Skype credit first and login with your Skype ID. The Android app also supports SMS to mobile numbers and Skype members all over the world at very cheap rates. Skype's engineers have invested a great deal of efforts in the App and it shows from their improved interface. There's a new main menu that appears on the app which allows you to easily navigate through your contact list, access and update your Skype profile, dial numbers and also check your current Skype credit. There's a mood message box which lets you quickly update how you're feeling and it gets instantly available to everyone in your buddy list.

The App is currently supported on Android 2.3 and above and obviously, your phone should have a front facing camera. Skype's blog mentions that HTC Desire S, Sony Ericsson Xperia neo, Sony Ericsson Xperia pro and the Google Nexus S are the phones currently supported.
