Skype Down Again! Log-In Problem Globally. (Updated)

It seems that Skype is down once again for the second time. We offered a fix to your Skype login problems but right now, the problem seems to be different. Skype informed users that this is a 'configuration' related issue and it clearly means that many of you won't be able to login to Skype. Users from various parts of the world are reporting that they are unable to sign-in to their Skype client. It seems that the problem exists on iOS and Android devices as well, along with regular Desktop PC & Mac. Skype users from UK, US, Netherlands, Bulgaria, Australia, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Brazil, Belarus, Croatia and India and other parts of the world have confirmed the problem so far.

We tried it on our machines (Windows 7) and found out that we too are unable to proceed beyond 'Connecing...' screen. Skype however says that 'a small number of users' have been affected by the problem. We've tried whether the fix mentioned in our earlier post works this time; unfortunately, it does not. We're quite sure that Microsoft must be wondering whether buying Skype for $8 billion was a good decision. Skype is currently investigating the issue and hopefully, they will offer a fix soon. We'll keep you updated so check back after some time.

Update 1: Skpye has identified the problem and says that the service should be back within next hour or so. Users won't have to sign-in manually as the software will connect automatically. We'll keep you updated.

Update 2: Users are now reporting that the Skype is back and they could successfully login. We are still not able to login. Please report your status below.

Update 3: We are now able to login to Skype and confirm that the problem has been solved in Estonia as well.

Update 4: Our internal sources at Skype confirm that the problem has not been solved for all parts of the world, but Skype should be back everywhere in next 1 hour.
