Skype 5.8 Features HD Video Calling + FB Integration + Group Screen Sharing

Skype + Microsoft fans should quickly head over to the #-Link-Snipped-# page and install the latest update. Skype has launched the latest version of the popular video tele-calling software on Windows platform. The new version brings High Definition (HD) video calling, Facebook audio/video calling, group screen sharing, hide option for offline FB contacts, Push To Talk, Skype auto update service and Microsoft's Bing search toolbar integration. We think that's a nice feature set in this update.

Skype for Windows now offers crystal clear videos at 1080p; but you will need at least a 2 Mbps connection for it to work. The group screen sharing feature will allow you to share your entire desktop / laptop screen or a single application screen with all the conference participants. Just hit the "+" button on your screen during the call to start sharing. However, this feature is available only with Skype Premium which also includes group video calling & live chat customer support. The next addition, which will  make your life easier is the direct video calling with Facebook users even if they aren't the Skype users. Simply select your online FB contact and make a call.

The Push To Talk feature will make the multiplayer gaming enthusiasts happier. Once you download the new Skype update, head over to tools > options > advanced > hotkeys and set a hotkey to toggle the microphone. The latest update even fixes few of the issues; for details head over to: #-Link-Snipped-#.

Do let us know your experience with the latest Skype. Mac users will have to wait a little longer, it seems. Why? Because the ownership of Skype is with #-Link-Snipped-# now.
