Skoda Superb 2014 Facelift Version Priced In India At Rs. 18.87 Lakh, Features Detailed
Skoda had launched the new facelift version of the 2014 Skoda Superb at the Delhi Auto Expo in India. Today the prices of all its five variants (3 petrol and 2 diesel) are out. The new Skoda Superb features changes in looks - both exterior and interior. The Petrol variant features 1.8-TSI engine that produces 158bhp/250Nm of torque, whereas the Diesel variant is 2.0-litre one that produces 140bhp/320Nm of torque. Both these engine can be mated with fully synchronized 6-speed automatic transmission and only the petrol version is offered with a six-speed manual transmission. With front and rear disc brakes, the car packs inside a hydraulic dual-diagonal circuit braking system vacuum assisted with Dual Rate system.
If you look at the car from the front and rear end, you will find a new bumper, a radiator grille, a new boot lid and bonnet. The sedan is adorned with bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights and LED tail-lights. On the interior, there's a three-spoke Direct rack and pinion, electro mechanic power steering. For the passenger's convenience and comfort a lot of features have been added such as - storage compartments in the doors and under the passenger seat. There is folding armrest in the rear seats. Apart from these, there are the usual features such as - 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, an electronically-adjustable driver’s and passenger's seat, electronic tyre pressure monitoring system, and the automatic locking and start system KESSY (Keyless-Entry-Start-and-Exit-System).
The entire entertainment inside the new Skoda Superb consists of a SKODA Swing audio player with touchscreen controls and 8 speakers, 6.5 LCD TFT colour display, an Integrated six-CD changer - • SKODA Swing audio player, Auxiliary audio input for portable media players and a SD/MMC data card reader. Coming to the upholstery, there's Nappa leather seat and Leather wrapped steering wheel, gear-shift selector as well as the hand-brake lever. The compartment space is 565 litres luggage compartment space and with rear seat-backs folded it can be increased to 1700 litres.
For security of the car, there's an anti-theft alarm with interior motion sensors and tilt sensor, coupled with backup power source. The car's specifications also list an Engine immobiliser with floating code system and a security code for central infotainment system.
