The nice people at Skin4Gadgets sent us a custom mobile skin for review and though I'm not a big fan of customizing the looks of my phone - I decided to give them a try. I asked them to put our CrazyEngineers logo on a custom skin for Galaxy S6 Edge and send it across. I tried the skin for over a day on my phone and here's a short account of my observations and opinion.

    First Impression:

I didn't like the custom design that was sent to me. But the website lets you upload and print your own design, so I won't complain. There are plenty of ready made designs to choose from; which means you don't have to rely on your own design skills. Here's the design we received -

    Installation:

If you've ever tried installing a screen protector, you know it's not an easy job. Surprisingly, installing the skin was quite easy. I installed it all by myself in about a minute. Note that you can take the skin on and off multiple times until you get the edges right. The best part - the skin does not make your phone's surface sticky! The skin comes with installation instructions, and it'd help if you read them once.

    Quality:

As I said, I'm not a big fan of skinning my gadgets. This skin is the first one I've ever used; and is likely to be the last one as well. The skin ain't very thick and looks 'ok' for the purpose it's meant for. The print quality could have been better.

    Overall:

A good design would definitely make your phone stand out and Skin4Gadget does what it promises. The best part of the deal is that you can take the skin off without any marks on the body of the phone. I am not too sure if the Rs. 599 price tag (for a custom iPhone 6 skin) is justified. I'd not buy one at that price. Would you?
