Siri's Sister Lola Is The New Virtual Personal Assistant For Banking

Apple's Siri technology of talking virtual personal assistants is being taken beyond its realm and implemented for Banks with a new project called 'Lola'. SRI International, the company behind the well-known Siri has worked with BBVA to bring the next gen human-like interaction in the banking sector. So, with a perfect-mix of NLU (Natural Language Understanding), Reasoning and Bank-Specific Application Knowledge, together these companies developed Lola to understand the user's (bank customer's) intent and then act upon it.

BBVA Compass is now going to test Lola on the internal network with their employees and add different banking services and capabilities to it. Once done, it will be rolled out widely to all.

When asked "What's the next payment on my loan?" Lola replies to it and she can also handle unexpected statements that have meaning only in context, such as "Sorry, meant my mortgage." VPA Technology is surely revolutionizing the way we interact with everything around. What's your take on this? Share with us through comments.
